Plain-language summary: Foly Screenshot processes the webpage you choose locally in your browser to create a full-page capture. Depending on your settings, the result can be downloaded as PNG, generated locally as PDF, or optionally copied as PNG to your system clipboard. Foly Screenshot does not upload captured pages, screenshots, PDFs, or extension settings to Foly servers. The extension has no account requirement, no cloud sync, no advertising, and no extension analytics. This website may use Google Analytics only after visitor consent.

1. Who operates Foly Screenshot

Foly Screenshot is a Foly product operated by Dowlaty Ali, based in Budapest, Hungary.

Privacy contact: [email protected].

2. Product scope

Foly Screenshot is a browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. It is published through the Chrome Web Store and is designed to capture the complete contents of a webpage selected by the user.

The extension can provide the captured result as a PNG image, generate an image-based PDF locally, and optionally copy the generated PNG to the system clipboard.

This policy applies to the Foly Screenshot browser extension, the website at screenshot.foly.today, and privacy-related support requests about Foly Screenshot. It does not apply to unrelated Foly products unless they link to this policy.

3. No account required

You do not need to create an account, sign in, connect a workspace, or connect Foly Screenshot to FolySEO to use the extension.

4. What the extension processes

When you start a capture, Foly Screenshot temporarily accesses and processes the visible and scrollable content of the active webpage selected by you. This may include text, images, graphics, hyperlinks, and other rendered webpage content required to create the requested full-page screenshot.

The extension may also process basic page information, such as the website name, together with the local date and time, to create the output filename according to your selected filename setting.

5. How webpage content is used

Webpage content is used only to perform the capture requested by the user. Foly Screenshot determines page dimensions, automatically scrolls through the selected page, captures the required sections, stitches those sections together locally, and restores the original scroll position after capture.

Captured webpage content is not sent to Foly for advertising, profiling, analytics, AI analysis, SEO analysis, or any unrelated purpose.

6. Local PNG and PDF output

The completed screenshot is generated locally in your browser. If you download a PNG, the PNG is created locally and saved through your browser or operating-system download flow.

If you choose Save as PDF, Foly Screenshot creates an image-based PDF locally from the generated screenshot. No screenshot or webpage content is sent to an external PDF service.

Foly does not receive or store the PNG or PDF files you create with the extension.

7. Optional clipboard access

Copying the generated PNG to the system clipboard is optional and disabled by default.

If you enable automatic clipboard copying or manually choose Copy PNG, Foly Screenshot may request the optional clipboardWrite permission. This permission is used only to write the generated screenshot to the clipboard.

Foly Screenshot does not request clipboardRead, does not inspect existing clipboard contents, and does not transmit clipboard data to Foly.

After a screenshot is copied to the clipboard, the clipboard is controlled by your operating system and applications on your device. You decide where to paste or otherwise use the copied image.

8. Local extension settings

Foly Screenshot uses local browser storage to remember your extension preferences. Depending on the version, these preferences may include automatic PNG download, automatic PDF output, optional clipboard copying, result-page behavior, capture animation, stitching animation, capture delay, fixed-element handling, and filename format.

These settings are stored locally in the browser and are not transmitted to Foly.

9. Browser permissions

Foly Screenshot uses permissions only for its user-facing capture and output functions:

  • activeTab: provides temporary access to the currently active webpage after you click the extension button so the selected page can be captured.
  • scripting: is used to determine page dimensions, scroll through the page, display capture progress, handle fixed elements during capture, and restore the original scroll position.
  • storage: stores your Foly Screenshot preferences locally in the browser.
  • clipboardWrite: is optional and is requested only for clipboard-copy functionality. It allows Foly Screenshot to write the generated PNG to the clipboard. It does not allow the extension to read existing clipboard contents.

Foly Screenshot does not request permanent access to every website for background monitoring.

10. No remote executable code

Foly Screenshot does not download or execute remotely hosted JavaScript, WebAssembly, or other executable code. The executable code required by the extension is included in the extension package.

11. Data the extension does not collect or transmit

The Foly Screenshot extension does not collect, sell, share, upload, or transmit to Foly:

  • captured screenshots;
  • generated PDF files;
  • captured webpage content;
  • clipboard contents;
  • locally stored extension preferences;
  • browsing-history lists;
  • search history;
  • account credentials or passwords;
  • payment information;
  • private messages;
  • health information;
  • behavioral analytics;
  • advertising identifiers;
  • personal advertising profiles.

12. No tracking inside the extension

The extension does not use analytics scripts, advertising pixels, cross-site tracking, behavioral profiling, third-party telemetry, advertising identifiers, or cloud analytics.

Foly Screenshot is not used to build advertising profiles.

13. No cloud sync

Foly Screenshot does not provide Foly-operated cloud sync for screenshots, PDFs, clipboard images, or extension settings. Files are stored wherever you choose to save them on your device. Your browser or operating system may manage the download location according to your own local settings.

14. No FolySEO transfer

Foly Screenshot is a Foly product, but it does not send screenshots, PDFs, captured webpage content, clipboard images, or extension settings to FolySEO.

It does not connect captures to a FolySEO account, upload them for SEO analysis, use them for AI analysis, or sync them with a FolySEO workspace.

15. Website privacy

The product website at screenshot.foly.today is a product website for Foly Screenshot. The website does not require a Foly Screenshot account and does not receive screenshots or PDFs generated by the extension.

The website includes Google Consent Mode so analytics consent can be managed. Analytics storage is denied by default. Website analytics measurement is enabled only after you accept analytics in the cookie controls provided on the website.

The website does not intentionally use advertising pixels, behavioral advertising, cross-site advertising profiles, newsletter tracking, or account-login tracking.

16. Google Analytics on the website only

After analytics consent, Google Analytics may be used on this website to understand basic website usage, such as page views, approximate geography, browser or device category, referring pages, and aggregate interaction metrics.

Google Analytics is used only for the website. It is not included in the Foly Screenshot browser extension and does not receive screenshots, PDFs, clipboard images, or captured webpage content from the extension.

Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and related analytics identifiers after you accept analytics cookies. Google may process analytics data according to its own terms and privacy documentation.

17. Cookie and analytics choices

The website uses a local consent preference to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics. This preference is stored in your browser and can be changed through Cookie Settings.

You can change your choice by using the “Cookie Settings” control in the header or footer. Rejecting analytics does not affect the extension and does not block access to the website.

18. Standard hosting and security logs

Standard hosting, DNS, CDN, or security systems may process technical information such as IP address, user-agent, request time, requested URL, error logs, and security-event logs.

This technical data is used only for security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and reliable operation of the website. It is not used by Foly Screenshot for behavioral advertising or screenshot profiling.

19. Support emails

If you contact us at [email protected], we may process the information you choose to send, such as your email address, your name if provided, your message, and technical details you voluntarily include.

We use this information to respond to your request, provide support, investigate issues, prevent abuse, and maintain records necessary for security or legal purposes.

Do not send passwords, API keys, financial information, medical information, private client data, or other sensitive information in support emails.

20. Third-party services

The extension does not send screenshots, PDFs, clipboard images, or captured webpage content to third-party services.

The website links to the Chrome Web Store, where Foly Screenshot is published. Google Chrome users can install it directly, and Microsoft Edge users can install the same Chrome Web Store extension because Edge supports compatible Chrome extensions. If you use the Chrome Web Store, Google may process data according to its own privacy policy and developer-platform rules. Foly does not control the Chrome Web Store's privacy practices.

21. Browser store disclosures

Our browser-store disclosures are intended to match this policy and the actual behavior of the extension. If Foly Screenshot's permissions, output features, or data practices change, we will update this policy and the relevant browser-store disclosures as required.

22. Limited Use statement

Foly Screenshot uses browser permissions only for its single purpose: capturing the complete webpage selected by the user and providing user-selected screenshot outputs such as PNG, locally generated PDF, and optional clipboard copy.

The extension does not use accessed page content, screenshots, PDFs, clipboard data, or browser data for unrelated purposes, advertising, profiling, resale, or transfer to third parties.

Information received from browser APIs is limited to the extension's user-facing screenshot functionality and is handled in accordance with applicable browser-store user-data policies.

23. No sale or targeted advertising

We do not sell personal data. We do not share extension-captured data for targeted advertising. We do not use screenshots, PDFs, page content, clipboard data, or browser activity to create advertising profiles.

24. Sensitive pages

You control what you capture. Be careful when taking screenshots of pages that contain passwords, account data, private messages, payment details, medical information, legal information, client data, confidential business information, children's data, or other sensitive content.

After an output is saved to your device or copied to your clipboard, you are responsible for storing, sharing, pasting, deleting, or protecting that output.

25. Security

Foly Screenshot is designed to reduce privacy risk by keeping screenshot processing, image stitching, PDF generation, settings, and optional clipboard preparation local to your browser and device.

Because outputs are stored or copied on your device, you should protect your device, browser profile, downloaded files, and clipboard using appropriate security measures.

We cannot recover, delete, or secure screenshot or PDF files that are stored only on your device.

26. Legal bases for website and support processing

Where GDPR applies, the legal bases we rely on for website or support processing may include:

  • Consent for optional Google Analytics cookies on the website.
  • Legitimate interests for website security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and responding to non-contractual support requests.
  • Contract or pre-contractual steps when responding to a request related to the extension or support.
  • Legal obligation where retention or disclosure is required by law.

27. Data retention

Extension screenshots and PDFs: We do not retain them because they are not sent to us.

Clipboard output: Foly does not receive or retain it. Clipboard retention is controlled by your device, operating system, and applications.

Local extension settings: Local settings remain in your browser until you change or reset them, remove the extension, clear extension storage, or reset your browser profile.

Website analytics: If analytics is accepted, analytics data is retained according to the Google Analytics property settings and only as long as reasonably needed to understand website performance.

Support emails: We may retain support messages for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, maintain support records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

Website technical logs: Where technical logs are under our control, we retain them only as long as reasonably necessary for security, diagnostics, and reliability.

28. Deleting local outputs and settings

Because extension outputs are created locally, you control them directly.

  • delete downloaded PNG or PDF files from your device;
  • replace or clear copied clipboard content using your device or another application;
  • change Foly Screenshot settings from the extension's Settings page;
  • remove the extension from your browser;
  • clear extension local storage through your browser settings;
  • use the header or footer “Cookie Settings” control to change website analytics consent;
  • contact [email protected] for questions about support emails or other data you intentionally sent to us.

29. Children's privacy

Foly Screenshot is a general productivity utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the extension.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information through a support request, contact [email protected].

30. EU/EEA and UK privacy rights

Depending on your location and the data involved, you may have rights to:

  • request access to personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of personal data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent for optional website analytics;
  • request data portability where applicable;
  • lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

Because Foly Screenshot does not upload screenshots, PDFs, clipboard images, or captured page content, many privacy requests will not apply to those local outputs.

To exercise privacy rights for support emails or website data that may be under our control, contact [email protected].

31. International processing

Foly Screenshot does not upload screenshots or PDFs to Foly. If you contact us by email, visit the website, or accept Google Analytics on the website, technical, support, or analytics data may be processed by hosting, email, DNS, CDN, security, or analytics providers in countries different from your country of residence.

32. Changes to this policy

If Foly Screenshot changes in a way that affects privacy, we will update this policy and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be reflected in the relevant browser-store listing before or when the updated functionality is released.

33. Contact
